Hello guys, welcome back to my blog 😁
So I’ll just go straight to the point. Reasons why you should use coconut oil on your skin?
I always knew coconut oil was good for my hair and skin but somehow I focused more on using it on my hair. For about a week and some days now, I’ve been applying coconut oil on my skin and the results have been amazing. My feet used to get really dry even after I’ve applied my lotion. Guess what? It doesn’t anymore since I embarked on this journey. I massage it gently on my skin after I shower at night and I just go to bed like a baby while my skin relaxes, repairs and heals itself. If you have oily skin, be careful not to use too much of it on your face, but at the same time remember that you need to keep your face moisturised so it doesn’t produce excess sebum which could lead to break outs.
Glow and anti aging
Coconut oil gives you that extra glow your bronzer wouldn’t give you 😝. I had mosquito bites on my body due to my visit to the village some weeks back, when I started applying coconut oil on my skin, they totally disappeared . It’s barely two weeks and the changes are glaring. My skin feels silkier and softer. Coconut oil also prevents your skin from premature aging which is caused by oxidation stress due to UV rays, pollution from the environment, harsh chemicals and injuries. Its antioxidant action reduces oxidative damage. Coconut oil also promotes collagen formation which leaves your skin smooth and supple. Talk about surnburn? Coconut oil got you covered.
Create your own body scrub with sugar and a few drops of coconut oil. I had a coconut oil + sugar scrub two nights ago and boy it did feel good. It gently exfoliates your skin and moisturizes your skin at the same time.
Natural Makeup Remover
You know all those left over mascara and eyeliner smudge that won’t go away? Coconut oil will do the magic. A little of it on a cotton ball will get it all out, squeaky clean. It is also very safe to use around the eyes. Give it a try 😊
What I love the most about coconut oil apart from the fact that it smells really great, is that it doesn’t stick. It just goes into my pores and stay there, no sticky feeling, no mess.
I recommend the daily use of coconut oil on the skin, be consistent and you’ll see changes ❤
